The same days in other cities
The next occurrences decided again at each city's own sunrise, with times in that city's local time. Where a city's day differs from another's, that difference is real: the tithi is the same everywhere, the sunrise is not.

☕ How this is worked out
Ekadashi is the eleventh tithi of each paksha, so it comes twice a lunar month. Which civil day is the fast depends on the tithi at local sunrise, and the two traditions read that differently.
Smartha: the day whose sunrise the Ekadashi touches. If the Ekadashi holds two sunrises, the second of them; if it begins and ends between two sunrises, the fast is kept on the Dwadashi day that follows.
Sri Vaishnava: the Ekadashi must also be present at arunodaya, the 96 minutes before sunrise, with no Dashami left in it. If Dashami still touches arunodaya, or the Ekadashi runs on past the next morning's arunodaya, the fast moves to the following day.
These are the rules the Nava app applies for both traditions. Because sunrise is local, the same Ekadashi can fall on different civil days in different cities — the comparison table shows where it does.
Tithi and nakshatra days on this page come from the Vaakya (Traditional) engine, as on the city pages.
Computed by the Vaakya (Traditional) engine for tithi-based days; Saturn and Jupiter from drik (Lahiri) positions.
Questions people ask
Why are there two Ekadashi dates in some months?
Because the Smartha and Sri Vaishnava traditions test the tithi at different moments. Smarthas look at sunrise; Sri Vaishnavas also require a clean arunodaya, free of Dashami. When Dashami still touches the pre-dawn window, the Sri Vaishnava fast moves one day later.
Why is Ekadashi a day earlier in the USA than in India?
The tithi changes at the same instant everywhere, but each city reads it at its own sunrise and on its own clock. An Ekadashi that begins in the Indian afternoon has already begun before sunrise on the US east coast, so the fast there can fall a day earlier. Always use the date for the city you are in.
When do I break the Ekadashi fast (parana)?
Parana is on Dwadashi morning. Nava does not yet compute the parana window, so follow your family almanac or temple for the exact time.
Is Vaikunta Ekadashi in this list?
Yes. It is the Shukla Ekadashi of the solar month Margazhi, and its row is marked when it falls inside the next twelve months.
