Kalaprakasika (1917, pp. 199–206) gives a whole chapter of yogas. First a list for each weekday that pairs it with stars, named Amirtha, Siddha, Nasa and so on; then yogas that need the weekday, the star and the tithi together; then pairs of two limbs. Its weekday and star lists match Nava Panchangam's table exactly on some weekdays and differ on others. They point opposite ways in 7 pairs, each a star on one of the book's good lists that the app counts Marana. The app keeps a printed Tamil almanac's table.
☕ Three layers of yogas
The first layer pairs the weekday with the star. For each weekday Kalaprakasika lists stars under names: Amirtha for the pairs it praises most (Sunday has no Amirtha list; its first list there is Siddha), other named lists such as Siddha, Subha, Sobhana and Sri, and an adverse list named Nasa, or Dhaktha on Thursday and Mruthyu on Saturday. The book counts its Subha, Amirtha, Siddha, Sri and Sobhana yogas as good (p. 202). This is the layer the lists below compare with the app's Amrutha, Siddha and Marana yogas.
The second layer needs all three limbs at once. Sunday, for example, makes Siddha yoga when the tithi is one of Prathamai, Chaturthi, Shasthi, Saptami, Dwadashi and the star is one of Pushya, Hasta, Uttara Phalguni, Uttara Ashadha, Moola, Shravana, Uttara Bhadrapada; each weekday has such a Siddha and an adverse Vinasa set. The book adds that any tithi except Rikta, falling on a good weekday-and-star pair, keeps it good. The third layer pairs just two limbs: a tithi with a star, or a weekday with a tithi, such as the Dagdha and Visha tithis.
Compared with the app's table, the best lists are the same on Sunday, Monday, Thursday, and the adverse lists are the same on Thursday. On Tuesday every Marana star in the app is in the book's longer list. Elsewhere the lists overlap in part. In 7 pairs they point opposite ways: the star is on one of the book's good lists and in the app's Marana list. The book's middling lists (Suba-madhyama) are left out of that count. No star on the book's adverse lists is Amrutha in the app. The app's table came from a printed Tamil almanac, which is kept where the book differs; that is a choice, and this page shows both.
The day score uses the app's own Amrutha and Marana table, the one on the Amrutha, Siddha and Marana yogas page, not Kalaprakasika's lists. Nava Panchangam does not use this rule in its day score. This page explains it as the books give it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does the app not follow Kalaprakasika's lists?
Nava Panchangam's weekday and star table comes from a printed Tamil almanac, the kind of panchangam Tamil households use, and that almanac is kept where the book differs. It is a choice about which source to follow, stated here so you can see both.
Where do the two tables say opposite things?
In 7 pairs: Monday Krittika; Monday Magha; Monday Purva Bhadrapada; Wednesday Hasta; Friday Shravana; Saturday Uttara Phalguni; Saturday Purva Bhadrapada. Each is on one of Kalaprakasika's good lists (Amirtha, Siddha, Subha, Sobhana or Sri), and the app's table counts it as Marana. No star on the book's adverse lists is Amrutha in the app.
What are Nasa and Mruthyu yoga?
They are Kalaprakasika's names for its adverse weekday and star pairs; Thursday's is called Dhaktha. They play the part the Tamil panchangam gives Marana yoga.
Does a good tithi change a weekday and star yoga?
The book says any tithi except Rikta, falling on a good weekday and star pair, keeps it good. Its second layer goes further and names yogas that need a particular weekday, star and tithi together.
