☕ How this is worked out
Houses are counted from your Moon sign (janma rasi), the sign counting as the first. Saturn in the 12th, 1st and 2nd is Sade Sati, about seven and a half years in all; in the 8th, Ashtama Sani; in the 4th, Kantaka Sani. Some traditions name these differently — one names the 8th Kantaka, and the 4th and 8th together are called Shani Dhaiya in the north — so the table gives the houses as well as the names.
Saturn's position comes from the Swiss Ephemeris with the Lahiri ayanamsa (the drik method), which the app uses for Saturn and Jupiter under every panchangam system. A Vakya almanac's Sani peyarchi date is computed from different tables and can differ by weeks; Nava does not compute that one.

When does Sade Sati end for my rasi?
Find your rasi in the first table: the 'Until' column is the day Saturn finally leaves the 2nd house from it. If your rasi shows none now, the second table gives when the next one starts.
Why do other websites give different Sade Sati dates?
Three common reasons: a different ayanamsa, a Vakya rather than a drik calculation, or counting Saturn's first entry only and ignoring its retrograde return. This page uses Lahiri drik positions and counts the period whole.
